Chint Joins the United Nations Global Compact

Zhejiang Chint Electrics Co. Ltd. is a leading global provider of smart green energy solutions that is committed to creating a sustainable world. The company recently joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

Launched In 2000, the UNGC is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 70 local networks. It is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN issues embodied in its sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The topic of sustainable development has long been a global concern, and more than 100 countries around the world have committed to the goal of “Carbon Neutrality”. Based on the common interest of building a shared future for all mankind, this will promote a series of economic and social changes in areas including the economy, energy, environment, and climate. As a smart green energy solutions provider, CHINT has been actively involved in building a diversified renewable energy supply system, while making efforts for a transition to low carbon energy production.

CHINT has established more than 600 photovoltaic power stations around the world, with an installed capacity of 6GW. At the same time, the company is committed to the development of new electricity equipment, increasing investment in innovation and supporting the clean development of the power industry.
