CHINT Reveals Carbon Neutral Plan for It and Its Clients

International intelligent energy technology provider CHINT Global has revealed its plans and solutions to help the company and its clients become carbon neutral, reducing carbon emissions to minimize negative environmental impact and meeting national and global climate goals.

As a leading provider of smart energy solutions, CHINT has always adhered to the concept of sustainable development, integrating into its corporate development strategy China’s national dual carbon goal, which seeks to peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

In accordance with its actual company conditions, CHINT formulated its own carbon neutrality goals, with a target to achieve carbon neutrality in business operations (including carbon offset) by 2028. Specific emission reduction measures include: improving energy efficiency, increasing renewable energy, using renewable materials, enhancing one-stop carbon neutral solution capabilities, and building its zero-carbon demonstration park.

Finally, by 2050, CHINT aims to reach net zero emissions in the entire value chain. The company’s one-stop carbon neutral solution will empower its whole value chain to accelerate decarbonization, hold zero-carbon operations in all factories and parks, and make all its products carbon neutral.

By 2035, CHINT seeks to achieve net zero carbon emissions in operations and establish a complete value chain emission management system. To reach this goal, the company will implement measures such as recycling, carbon elimination and compensation, fossil energy substitution, process upgrading, and green packaging.

In the recent 10th CHINT International Marketing Forum (CIMF), which concluded on October 14, CHINT endeavored to ensure that the conference is carbon-neutral, offsetting any carbon emissions resulting from energy consumption and travel. Its carbon neutrality has been certified by global testing and certification agency TÜV SÜD.

CHINT says its goal of carbon neutrality is one of the hallmarks of its sustainable development path. In implementing the low-carbon strategy and achieving its carbon neutrality goal, CHINT uses its technologies and innovative products to empower customers to achieve carbon neutrality, build an end-to-end zero-carbon industrial chain, and contribute to China’s climate targets.

As a world-renowned smart energy system solution provider, CHINT is committed to the concept of sustainable development and is using its core technological innovation capabilities, focusing on high energy consumption and high emission scenarios.

It empowers corporate customers to accurately reduce their carbon emissions, fulfilling carbon reduction needs and potential of key industries, and promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of the industry in four areas.

Green Source – CHINT has comprehensively deployed various clean energy sources such as photovoltaics, biomass, wind power, and combined cooling, heating and power generation. The company has come up with its Photovoltaic+ solution, making it the only service provider in the industry with system integration and technology integration advantages.

With 17 years of development and construction experience in the photovoltaic field, it has built 690 industrial photovoltaic power stations globally, totaling 8GW capacity. It has also built more than 300,000 household photovoltaic power stations across China.

Intelligent Network – Intelligent technology assists the construction of new power grid systems and helps prevent safety and stability issues. CHINT has created a smart distribution network solution for the Internet of Things, which integrates smart terminal equipment such as power distribution products, smart meters and various sensors to achieve comprehensive perception, data fusion and intelligent application of the distribution network, meeting the need for lean management of the distribution network.

These smart grid solutions enhance the stability and flexibility of the power grid, allowing more use of renewable energy, which reduces energy costs for enterprises, and helps reduce carbon emissions.

Load Reduction – This involves end-user energy efficiency management, full-process management, and control of carbon assets. CHINT provides high-quality regional energy solutions for users, with the goal of minimizing carbon emissions.

Based on local energy policies and natural resource endowments, it uses multi-energy complementation and uses various energy storage systems to provide end users with comprehensive energy services such as heat, electricity, and cooling. Multi-energy complementation incorporates renewable energy, reducing the dependence on fossil energy. The whole-process energy efficiency management is controlled using a Cloud platform, ensuring efficiency throughout the project life cycle.

New Storage – According to CHINT, energy storage is the key to the large-scale application of clean energy. Its energy storage technology includes new energy consumption solutions, user-side peak-shaving and valley-filling solutions, power generation-side auxiliary service solutions and microgrid solutions.

CHINT’s energy storage systems can play a key role in the storage and reuse of energy, improving the efficiency of traditional energy and advancing the development and utilization of renewable energy. This contributes towards the transformation to a low-carbon society, while ensuring reliability of the power system.
