CHINT Green Leadership and Strategic Partnerships in Mexico

In October, CHINT Mexico, a subsidiary of CHINT Global, was invited by the Mexican Association of Chinese Companies to attend a business matchmaking event between Chinese and Mexican enterprises at the Mexican Senate.

They also had the opportunity to give a presentation. The Chinese Ambassador to Mexico, Zhang Run, was present at the event and gave a speech. Representatives from various Chinese and Mexican companies, including the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), Mexican state-owned oil company Pemex, State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), Huawei, ZTE, and others, were in attendance as well.

This event aimed to promote exchanges in areas like infrastructure and investment services. Apart from the main event, there were separate areas for business exchanges and technology solutions to encourage collaboration and interaction among enterprises.

As a representative speaker, CHINT Mexico talked about the company’s practices in areas like green energy, intelligent electrical solutions, and smart low-carbon technologies. They showcased CHINT Global’s achievements in adapting to local markets worldwide and shared insights into their presence in the Mexican electricity market and their project experiences.

Approximately 250 representatives from the Mexican Senate, various government levels, industry associations, and key enterprises from both countries engaged in face-to-face discussions.

CHINT Mexico, a subsidiary of CHINT Global, has been a pioneer in the company’s international expansion efforts. They have also been at the forefront of CHINT’s exploration and implementation of the entire energy industry chain, covering generation, storage, transmission, transformation, distribution, sales, and utilization in the Mexican market.

Over the years, CHINT Mexico has achieved significant success in the fields of new energy and medium-to-high voltage electrical equipment.

In April 2022, CHINT signed an agreement for Mexico’s first government-level solar project, the CFE Peñasco Harbor Photovoltaic Project, to support Mexico’s energy development. In this project, CHINT provided core equipment such as photovoltaic panels and power transformers.

In the future, CHINT Mexico will focus on the Mexican market, leveraging new energy and integrated regional energy as entry points. They will also explore innovative business areas such as customer-side energy storage, power plant upgrades, digitalization, and smart operations to drive the local energy transformation.

In early October 2022, two power transformers produced by CHINT for Pemex, Mexico’s largest petroleum company, arrived at their destination and were officially delivered to the project site. With the professional support of the Mexican team, the customer signed an acceptance letter at the project site. With this achievement, the Mexico 115kV Transformer-Pemex project was completed, and CHINT joined the “Local Supplier Club.”
