Uganda Minister Visits Mbale Park, Lauds CHINT’s Localization

On March 7th, local time in Uganda, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development of Uganda, Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa, and her delegation visited the China-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park to conduct a field examination of the park’s development and the operation of enterprises within. The leaders of the park and the resident enterprises warmly received the delegation, and both parties engaged in in-depth and friendly discussions on related matters. This examination not only showcased the thriving scene of the China-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park but also highlighted the significant position of CHINT Global in the international market especially in Uganda.

Upon arrival at the park, the delegation was warmly welcomed by local government officials of Mbale and the main leaders of the park. Inside the park, the lively performance of Ugandan traditional songs and dances displayed the unique charm of the local culture. Following this, the delegation focused on visiting the CHINT Meter Factory, a resident enterprise in the park.

As CHINT’s first overseas instrument factory, it has always adhered to the group’s philosophy of “establishing diversified talent introduction channels and recruiting outstanding talents globally,” actively introducing and cultivating international talents, providing strong support for the company’s rapid development. Additionally, the company is committed to achieving localized manufacturing, with a localization rate of employees reaching 89%, injecting new vitality into the industrial development of Uganda.

During the examination, Ms. Amy Fan, Regional Director of East&South Africa of  CHINT Global also detailed to Minister Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa the development, strategic layout, and future plans of CHINT Global in the international market. The Minister highly praised CHINT Group’s outstanding performance in the international market and affirmed and welcomed CHINT’s contributions under Uganda’s BUBU policy, expressing hope for deeper cooperation in the future to jointly promote the industrialization process of Uganda.

Meeting

At the meeting, both parties discussed and exchanged views on future cooperation in-depth. CHINT Global expressed its intention to continue increasing investment in Uganda, promote more high-quality projects to take root in the local area, and contribute more to the economic and social development of the region. Simultaneously, it will actively cooperate with the Ugandan government and all sectors of society to jointly promote the continuous development of China-Uganda economic and trade relations.

This examination not only deepened the Ugandan government and all sectors of society’s understanding and recognition of CHINT Global but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between both parties. In the future, CHINT will continue to increase the implementation of its internationalization strategy, provide higher quality products and services to global customers, and contribute more Chinese wisdom and strength to the global industrialization process.
