Recently, Mr. Sven Oehrke, CEO of VDE Global Services, and his team visited CHINT for an exchange. Mr. Benjamin Nan, Director and Vice President of CHINT Electrics, welcomed the visit. During this trip, VDE awarded CHINT Intelligent Electrical Laboratory Center with the VDE-TDAP accreditation and the VDE certification for CHINT Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) products. He Sheng, Dean of the CHINT Low-Voltage Smart Electrical Research Institute, and other business leaders attended the ceremony.
About VDE
VDE, standing for Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker, is over 130 years old and one of Europe’s largest technical and scientific associations. It is also the largest industry association in the field of electrical engineering and information technology in Europe.
The VDE Testing and Certification Institute, established in 1920, is one of the earliest electronic and electrical testing and certification institutions in Europe. As a global authority on testing and certification and a standard setter, VDE is dedicated to promoting the interdisciplinary development of electrical engineering and information technology.
At the award ceremony, Mr. Sven Oehrke reviewed the long-term cooperation between VDE and CHINT and fully affirmed CHINT’s innovative development achievements. He mentioned that since the establishment of the cooperative relationship in 2002, regular visits have become the norm. He was impressed by the high-level digital production lines and advanced testing equipment. After more than 20 years of reform and innovation, the changes at CHINT are refreshing. He hopes that both parties will continue to deepen cooperation, actively explore new fields, fully leverage the advantage of “brand building brand,” and achieve mutual benefits.
Mr. Benjamin Nan outlined CHINT’s strategic vision and commitment during the exchange. He stated that CHINT is actively building a new type of power system centered on new energy and deeply implementing strategic measures such as “industrialization, scientific and technological innovation, internationalization, digitalization, and platformization.” The group has been deeply involved in the European market for over 20 years, continuously advancing the “global regional localization” strategy. The experiment center, as a comprehensive experimental platform integrating R&D process experiments, multi-standard product type testing, and application scenario system experiments, bears the important responsibility of providing more professional services. “Focusing on the source and controlling the process” ensures the high quality and reliability of products. In the future, CHINT hopes to enhance core competitiveness with the support of VDE, based on electrical safety and reliability, international market access, and the promotion of standardization. CHINT is committed to providing products with leading functions, excellent performance, and customer confidence to customers in Europe and around the world. This is not only CHINT’s pursuit of high standards but also a firm commitment to global partners and customers.
Under the joint witness of Mr. Sven Oehrke and Mr. Benjamin Nan, Mr. Wu Zhongxuan, General Manager of VDE Global Services China, awarded the VDE-TDAP certificate to He Sheng, Dean of the CHINT Low-Voltage Smart Electrical Research Institute. Mr. Andreas Loof, Sales Director of VDE Global Services, awarded the VDE product certification certificate for MCB NB1 to Li Ran, Director of the Science and Technology Management Department of the CHINT Low-Voltage Smart Electrical Research Institute.
This is another international authoritative recognition that CHINT’s Smart Electrical Experiment Center has obtained, following the Chinese CNAS, American UL WTDP, and Canadian CSA WMTC laboratory accreditations. It is not only a recognition of the technical strength of CHINT’s experiment center but also an affirmation of its continuous innovation and quality assurance. After years of deep cultivation, CHINT’s Smart Electrical Experiment Center has covered standards such as the Chinese national standard GB, International Electrotechnical Commission IEC, American standard UL, and European standard EN. In the future, CHINT will continue to innovate technologically and improve quality, using its many years of deep technical accumulation and industry experience as a cornerstone to take more solid steps on the path of globalization.
