The 10th "China Charity Award" award ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the people in Beijing on September 13th. CHINT Group was rewarded the 10th “China Charity Award”.CHINT Group has consciously assumed the social responsibility. It has made a solid contribution to public welfare, and actively participated in social public welfare activities such as poverty alleviation, student financial support, disaster relief, ecological protection and charitable donations. This is the second time that CHINT group has been honored since the establishment of the "China Charity Award".
Up to now, CHINT has donated more than 300 million RMB (43 million USD) for various social charities. In May 2008, after the Wenchuan Earthquake, CHINT and its employees actively donated money and materials to support the reconstruction of the disaster area.The Ministry of Civil Affairs awarded CHINT the “China Charity Award” and the Provincial Charity Federation awarded CHINT the “Outstanding Charity Contribution Award”.
Established in 2005, the "China Charity Award" is the highest government award in the field of public welfare and charity in China. It is designed to commend individuals, units,charitable projects and charitable trusts with outstanding deeds and wide influence in charitable activities in China. The Ministry of Civil Affairs is responsible for the implementation of the award. The "China Charity Award" is celebrated once every two years, and 37 donors have been awarded this year.
