Promoting Entrepreneurship Is Always on the Way
In an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency, Nan Cunhui, the pioneer of Reform and Opening-up and member of the CPPCC National Committee, talked about the positive role of tax cuts and fees reduction in the 2019 Government Work Report on the development of private enterprises. He also conveyed his entrepreneurial spirit in the process of enterprise development.
"We should unwaveringly and firmly believe in the power of better national policies, competition to bring prosperity and China's excellent culture. If we are not afraid of failure, adhere to the innovative consciousness, persevere and keep a sense of responsibility, we can promote the long-term development of enterprises." Nan said.
China-Africa Economic, Trade Cooperation Forges On
The Second Press Conference of the Second Session of the 13th CPPCC was held in Beijing on June 6. Nan Cunhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and chairman of CHINT Group, said that Africa is an important region of the Belt and Road, which construction should bring huge development opportunities for China-Africa cooperation and development.
According to Nan, there are over 10,000 Chinese enterprises in Africa, among which 90% are private enterprises. They brought advanced development ideas to Africa, contributed to infrastructure construction of Africa's roads, railroads and airports, and also contributed to the local employment, tax revenue collection, improvement of residents' living conditions, as well as cultural exchange.
CHINT Group Eyeing Overseas Expansion
CHINT has maintained a growth momentum abroad, mainly thanks to logistics improvement and the Belt and Road Initiative. By now, CHINT has offered high and low voltage products and services to 80% of BRI markets including Europe, Russia and Pakistan. The overseas revenue now accounts for around 20% of its total revenue.
"M&As will continue to be our future strategy in the overseas market. There are indeed many good companies abroad, and we can combine each other's strengths to better implement the localization process," said Nan Cunhui, chairman of CHINT, on the sidelines of the ongoing Two Sessions in Beijing.
The Wenzhou, Zhejiang province-based company has made several M&As deals abroad. For instance, in 2016, it acquired a 25% stake in Spain's graphene polymer battery company Grabat Energy SL.
"Another major plan is to cooperate with State-owned enterprises overseas in a bid to better tap into foreign countries," he added.
CHINT has been actively integrating and promoting productivity in foreign countries, including the construction of its logistics centers, which deepens its overseas channel. To date, CHINT Group has established manufacturing bases, research and development centers and logistics hubs in around 140 countries and regions. It has also built more than 100 photovoltaic power plants overseas.
