CHINT and Abana Enterprises sign a strategic MOU to enhance solar adoption in key sectors.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 16 October 2024 – CHINT, a global leader in smart energy solutions, proudly unveiled its latest solar and hybrid technologies at the Saudi Solar Show 2024, an event pivotal to Saudi Arabia’s path toward achieving net zero. As the Kingdom ramps up its renewable energy ambitions under Vision 2030, CHINT remains a committed partner, delivering advanced, sustainable energy solutions that support these national goals.
At the exhibition, CHINT showcased a range of innovative technologies designed to accelerate the country’s renewable energy infrastructure:
• Integrated EV Charger with Solar: A seamless solution integrating solar energy with electric vehicle charging infrastructure, ensuring efficient energy use and storage for off-peak hours.
• Hybrid Solar Inverters: These inverters deliver high efficiency and flexible storage integration, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply and enabling businesses to manage power more effectively during grid outages.
• Smart Pole Solutions: Enhancing the smart city vision, CHINT's solar-powered smart poles offer lighting, communication, and surveillance capabilities, contributing to smarter urban management.
• Solar Water Pumping Solutions: Specifically designed for agricultural and remote areas, these solutions reduce reliance on traditional energy sources while enhancing efficiency.
• Other Solutions like Solar Street Light and tailored substation solutions for solar projects in Saudi Arabia.
Strategic Partnership with Abana Enterprises
A notable highlight of CHINT's participation was signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Abana Enterprises Group Co. This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of solar-powered solutions for Abana’s automated systems, particularly in financial services. The MOU was signed by Abdulmajed Al Suhaibani, Chief Business Development Officer of Abana, and Yassin Ma, Head of Sales, CHINT KSA.

Marking 40 Years of Innovation
2024 marks a significant milestone for CHINT as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. The company’s long-standing commitment to innovation is reflected in its expanded operations in Saudi Arabia, where two new factories will soon open in Riyadh and Dammam. These facilities will manufacture low and medium-voltage solutions, further supporting the Kingdom’s industrial growth.
